Due to events beyond our control we have decided to phase partially out of dog breeding.  With this in mind, we’ve made the difficult decision to part with some of our adults.

White Male - Brown Eyes - 2/11/14

Bear is from our 2/11/14 hand raised litter.  He is pure white with brown eyes, floppy ears and a curly tail.  He is very sweet once he gets to know you. We do not recommend him for a home with other pets, especially small animals.  He is currently kenneled outside with some of other boys with girls on either side of them. There is occasional dominance quarrels, suggesting he may be better without other dogs or at least in a home that is willing to work through these issues as they will be most severe in the first couple of weeks in his new home. He has his own album with more photos on our FB page.

Bear can experience flare ups of ZRD, Zinc Responsive Dermatitis which is not life threatening, but can make him slightly miserable as the itching can be intense. More info about this condition follows:  “Zinc Responsive Dermatitis, or ZRD, is a relatively common skin complaint that causes hair-loss and scaling in patches, usually concentrated around the eyes, ears and muzzle. ZRD, as it is known, is caused by a lack of zinc in the dog’s system, and can be easily managed by adding zinc supplements to the dog’s diet. If your Husky or Sled Dog has a skin problem, it is worth mentioning to your veterinarian that these breeds are prone to ZRD.”
